At Silver View Chiropractic Center, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic wellness care to our patients. Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic services we offer in our MOUNDS VIEW office.

Chiropractic Care

We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As Doctors of Chiropractic, both Dr. Greg Belting and Dr. Carol LaScotte have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

The Activator Method

Restoring spinal balance safely and successfully has been the driving force behind the Activator Method Chiropractic Technique.

The Activator Adjusting Instrument is the tool more doctors choose to deliver low-force chiropractic adjustments. This unique hand-held instrument has been studied extensively with results published in hundreds of peer-reviewed research papers, and was designed to give patients a specific and gentle adjustment.

The Activator provides a controlled, fast thrust that is comfortable for the patient.      In fact, adjustments with the Activator are so quick and measured, the body's muscles are less likely to resist, allowing for a more precise and accurate adjustment.

Physiotherapy

To complement and enhance the healing effects of Dr. Greg Belting's and Dr. Carol LaScotte's specific chiropractic adjustment treatment, we at Silver View Chiropractic Center also provide the following physiological therapeutic procedures:

  • Ultrasound
  • Interferential electrical muscle stimulation
  • Massage therapy
  • Manual therapy
  • Neuromuscular massages
  • Neuromuscular stretches and exercises
  • Mechanical traction and roller table
  • Cryotherapy
  • Moist heat therapy
  • Orthotic casting

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy offers a natural conservative treatment approach that relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is tailored to meet the patient's condition and injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle pain and spasms, and aid in recovery and range of motion.

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Acupuncture:

Acupuncture is a therapeutic or healing modality of the traditional Chinese medical system developed thousands of years ago. Fine, sterile single use disposable needles are inserted and manipulated into various points on the body to relieve pain or to balance disturbances in the system.

Acupuncture treatments stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions and health concerns. Some of the most well known conditions this powerful medicine aids in the treatment of is pain relief, integrated cancer therapy, fertility, smoking cessation and menopause.

It works by understanding the body as a network of pathways and how to regulate and balance those pathways. The pathways, called "meridians", circulate "qi" (energy) and blood in the body and link tissues and organs into an organic whole.

Acupuncture points are specific points where "qi", the energy, of the organs and meridians is transported to the body surface. The qi functions to nourish and construct the body, mind, and spirit by freely flowing throughout the body. When this free flow of qi is obstructed, one experiences pain and/or illness. Acupuncture promotes the free flow of qi as to achieve an optimal state of health and well-being.

*Additional modalities including cupping, moxibustion, electric stimulation therapy, auricular therapy, and herbal medicine may be used in conjunction to the acupuncture treatment plan as diagnostically appropriate.
